Review content:
Despite negative online reviews, my daughter insisted on using The Wedding Library,. Our appt. time ended up to be a double booking, w/ 4 people from our party trying on dresses, as well as, 5 others from another bridal party- all sharing 3 dressing rms. My daughter tried on a sample that fit perfectly. The sales girl took her measurements, but did not compare them to Amsale's measurement card. Honest mistake that we did not realize until the dress arrived & did not fit & could not be altered. The Library stepped up & ordered the correct size on a rush. It arrived one week before the wedding. Here is where the nightmare began...my daugher & I go to the new location to pick up the dress & it is the wrong dress. The reason given for the mistake?- Sorry, but we were very busy that day. Umm....that was your reason for the mistake the first time. Don't you think good business practice would be to double and triple check that the correct style number and size was ordered the second time around? Then, I commented that the dress looks like the other bridesmaid's dresses and my daughter is the maid of honor with a different dress. The girl goes to check and says it isn't the same dress. I call my other daughter, the bride to be to double check, & she says it is the style number of the other bridesmaids. What is the excuse now for this mistake (or cover up?) Okay, what to do...just lots of "Sorry". I finally got them to agree to reimburse me for the alterations, & after being even more upset, I demanded an adjustment on the dress, which they gave me. Supposedly the young lady who was assisting me is the new manager....how nice of her bosses to never come out to support her or apologize to me. I don't know what the deal is, but maybe their wedding planning is way bigger & more important than the bridesmaid dress aspect of their business. The new location was also messy and tiny- does not match high prices & expected experience. Buyer beware!
