Review content:
I injured my back at work 2 years ago helping to move a patient. I was in excrutiating pain and was forced by employee health to take two weeks off. I am not one for taking medication, being on disabillity or even taking time off. I enjoy the gym, sports, motorcycles, etc. After MRI, x-rays and a bunch of Dr.s telling me that I have degenerative disc disease and that it's progressive and nothing can be done but pt and pain management, or surgery. I went through pt and though it help a little, I was slowly deteriorating. I could no longer do what I loved to do. My wife heard a parent of her student talking about Dr. James Pierce at Speonk Spine Care. Being in medicine, I never gave Chiropractic medicine much credence, but at this point, the pain was so bad, I was willing to try anything. My first visit there, Dr. Pierce spent an extended amount of time doing a history and physical to find out what was going on and told me that he didn't want me here forever. "Let's get you fixed, rehabilitated and out of here." That's exactly what he did. No "you're going to need to see me once a week for the rest of your life", nonsense. He really is interested in affecting healthy change in his patients lives and getting them better. Needless to say, I walked out of his office the very first time and no longer had the excrutiating pain down the back of my leg. I have been able to maintain this by listening to what Dr. Pierce advises and I will never be able to thank him enough for giving me my life back. Thank you!
