As I prepared for a ride from Maine to Florida, it became apparent that better equipment was required. The experts at Conte's Arlington fitted me out with a Cervelo that was tailored to my dimensions, age, and flexibility. Since hot spots in my feet were a continuing problem, they recommended Specialized Sport road shoes with Specialized inserts. They set everything up perfectly.
1,700 miles and 42,000 feet of climbing later I can say the Cervelo was light on the climbs, fast on the flats, and tough enough for some rough roads. The shoes were also great and still comfortable after 22 days on the road. Thanks Conte's for allowing me to ride every mile and climb every foot."
