My family and I love to drive the coast, and for a long time, the only place to stop for a halfway decent dinner was the Quinault Beach Resort. However, this (newish) restaurant, which is kind of a hidden spot (from the outside, you think its going to be a dive) is actually a surfer themed bar and grill right on the end of the Westport Marina. We were there last weekend, while visiting Grayland for their annual Kite Festival (wow! worth a trip if you haven't ever seen a million people flying kites all at once), and were turned on to this restaurant by someone on the beach. The menu is kind of typical american bar and grill fare, with a seafood slant. Their calamari was spicy, not like standard bar calamari, sprinkled with peppers. My husband had the prime rib special (not on the menu) and it was cooked just right. I had the salmon stuffed with crab, and although I typically don't eat such heavy cream sauces, it was really good. They had a great dessert menu and wine list, but we did not partake. On a Saturday night, there was a wait, but the host told me that they take reservations, so when we're back for the art festival we will keep that in mind. It's great if you're at the beach and looking for something other than the standard fish and chips and chowder (although their chowder was delicious!) Pros: Nice decor, friendly staff, better than expected food Cons: Busy, crowded
