Review content:
I was sad to see Saffron closed, but also sad to see the review written by lucky mom 5... I personally spoke with Judy Lyon in regards to the reason for the sudden closing of Saffron. I too had a gift card... The fact was it was not sudden, she had been in a battle with her landlord since 2007, when she discovered she was being charged for twice the space Saffron actually occupied.. Bottom line, Saffron was forced to close by her landlord. She told me all the details and all I can say is that she did her best to keep the business open and if she had a finacial set back, well it certainly was alot more that lucky mom's $100.00!! It is a shame, small business owners have such a tough time and when the landlords do not work with the tenant to help keep a thriving business alive or if they over charge for space they do not have!!! The smaIl busniess cannot survive, especially in this economy. Judy did the best she could do..She said for all the people who lost their gift cards, she was so sorry and tried to get her competitors to take them over, but they could not. With the bad economy, she understood.. Anyway, I just wanted to tell another side, as it was told to me by a very fine woman who did her best! I wish her well...
