Review content:
I went there to patronize a local salon in West Linn, not have to go to Lake Oswego. Guess what, this time I am headed to Burnside for Wax On! I got about a third of a "bikini wax" here. The esthetician obviously specializes in other things--she has great facial toning gear. But I had to finish my own bikini wax at home, the hard parts where you have to be a contortionist and rip out serious hair follicles in hard to reach places--this is not fun, which is why I had paid someone else to do it. Maybe she never wears a bikini, or never needed a wax. Afterward I wished I had drawn her a picture of what I wanted (ie what bikini wax IS). But, she is not supposed to be charging if she is clueless. I may go back for a facial, but my sentimental urge to patronize a local business was dampened. Like I said, I am going to Wax On where people are not squeamish about coping with the bikini area. One problem with West Linn spa services in general--and I live here--a kind of bland niceness that doesn't substitute for quality professional work.
Pros: local if you are in West Linn, attempting to be natural
Cons: unsatisfactory first experience
