My husband and I shop there all of the time for our Shephard mix. The staff is always friendly and knowledgable. Our dog has a skin allergy and the vet recommended several different types of food to help with her licking. The associate we spoke with at Dog Lovers was not only knowledgable, but actually recommended a LESS expensive food for us than the one we told him we were originally considering. I, for one, would much rather shop at a family owned business than a big chain like Pet Supermarket, etc. I feel better knowing there are still some family owned, small businesses in the area. They do run events with a lot of the rescue sites in the area. Also, their prices are no different than what you would find at other chain pet stores. We don't pamper our dog or treat her like a princess, we just want her to have good, nutritious food and treats, and you can get those at Dog Lovers.
