Review content:
The husband and I were in Savannah the day before Thanksgiving (so, not high tourist season) and came across the Shrimp Factory down on the waterfront. We'd been thinking of trying The Lady and Sons but were hungry RIGHT THEN and a gentleman at the door gave us a $5 coupon, so we thought, why not? And we were glad we ate there. The Caesar salad was tossed tableside and was pretty good; and they also give you mini-blueberry muffins as a bread basket. The muffins were tasty and came with this unbelievably excellent honey bourbon pecan butter spread, oh my gosh. I had the special, which was shrimp and grits, and it was also really good. The waitress told us the grits are made with heavy cream and that was evident. My husband had the shrimp and sausage with rice and found it delicious. I see some other reviewers unfortunately didn't have good service. I must say, we didn't have that experience at all. The food came fast and our drinks were constantly refilled. Our waitress was very friendly and the manager also dropped by to make sure we were happy with everything, which we were. We found it to be good value for the money - this meal, which came to about $27, would've been probably half again the price at home - and I'd recommend it.
