The staff is extremely friendly, and our "girls" aren't really nervous to go there. The only problem is I feel they kind of rip you off sometimes. We started noticing the "extra" charges they kept tacking on when one of our dogs had her teeth cleaned there. It was well over double what the service cost at our previous vet which was fine with us since we trusted them to take good care of her. They asked if they had any problems or questions if they could contact me and I said of course. They called and said there was a possible problem and they thought an x-ray was necessary. I didn't really understand what they said because I don't really understand vet talk, but they seemed concerned and wanted to look into the problem further so I said do whatever you think that you need to and forked out an extra amount for the x-ray. When I picked her up I inquired further about what they thought was wrong, the told me basically she had a large gap in between a couple of her teeth and they were concerned that she might have lost a tooth and the empty pocket from where the tooth was could get infected...but that wasn't the case and she was fine. Ok, great she is fine, but I JUST paid $40 for a "Wellness Pet Exam" not 2 weeks earlier where you basically pay that amount for them to look over them for about a minute or two...why did they not notice something then? And she is a Boston Terrier which is a breed that is notorious for crooked and odd teeth, so why was that not considered? In the end I left a bit upset after explaining to them my concerns about trusting their advice in the future. Sadly, as much as I liked going there (for 3 years) I just can't go back because I no longer trust their advice and feel as if they take a bit of advantage of their clients. In the end I will be taking the 45 min drive to take the dogs to our old vet. We really love and trust them and the cost is less than half of what Blackbob is.
