Ahlara is my favorite place to get a massage in Lake Norman. A few nice touches include: a zen room for relaxing before and after a massage, hot tea, sauna (free with the purchase of a massage), and a shower, locker room, robes, and flip flops so you don't have to undress in the massage room. Their massages are 60 minutes (not 50 minutes, like so many other places), and longer options are also available. I have had several massages there and have never been displeased. My favorite massage -- and a massage that is unique to Ahlara -- is the Abhyanga. This massage has two therapists using synchronized motions to provide you with an extremely relaxing massage. It is totally worth the $140 charge! Erin is my absolute favorite massage therapist, and she is one of the therapists who does the Abhyanga. I like my massages slow and with a light touch, and she never fails to provide me with exactly what I ask for. Ahlara is a great place to go, and I highly recommend them!
