Review content:
I am from the East Coast where the food is phenomenal. I have eaten at every top rated Zagat restaurant and this is by far the best.
It looks like a little Inn that you would find in a quaint ski town. The owner, Sean, greeted me immediately and preceded to give me the history of the place while pointing out the original staircase.
I started with the radicchio salad that had apples, figs and manchego cheese with a walnut vinaigrette, my friend had this massive crab cake that was incredibly tasty.
I then had the rackof lamb that was served with goat cheese and mint. The meat was tender and lovely. I wasn't sure if I wanted the sides the dish came with, so I asked Sean what he would recommend. He said the brussel sprouts which I never ever eat. I listened to him, thankfully. They were amazing!!! They were crunchy and had a hint of balsamic vinegar. My friend had the beef short ribs which were fabulous, so soft and tasted like brisket.
If things couldn't get better, Sean brought us over profiteroles which were a chefs special and not even on the menu. The crust was flakey and the cream was delicious.
I couldn't recommend this place any more. I loved it. The best part is I no longer have to trek to Beverly Hills to get a good meal. I can stay right here in my own Larchmont neighborhood.
Bon Appetit!
Pros: Ambience,Great service, Incredible Food, Large Portions,Attentive Owners
