The night started out okay until I went to the bathroom. Since the men's room was right next to the ladies' room, one can hear the use of the toilet and sink in each bathroom. As I was washing my hands I heard someone go into the men's room and flushed the toilet after. On my way out, the person walked out and I didn't even hear the sink go on... it was one of the cooks. I knew we should have walked out right then and there, but my date and I were hungry and our drinks were on the table and the order was already put in.
My date had ordered gnocchi with sausages whereas I ordered chicken piccata. When the food came out he was able to enjoy his while I sat next to my food with a sour look on my face. The chicken looked as if they threw it into the microwave without cooking it and the linguine and sauce smelled sour and gross. The taste was bland and I had to shake half the shaker of salt to try to make it bearable. I decided to try it and not complain because what cook wants to hear that their food tasted like crap? I didn't want to order something else and have them spit in it and then worry about the food being contaminated as I try to eat it.
What made me even more upset was that the owner was sitting about 10 feet away from me and she could clearly see how upset I was; however, she made no attempt to ask if something was wrong. This goes to the waitress as well. She knew I was upset and made no attempt to find out if anything was wrong. Her visits to our table was rare even though she only had two tables (us and the people next to us). I have to swear to everyone that I am not a complainer when it comes to these things but in my opinion,this place has the worst food and service around (not to mention hygiene). In addition to that, the credit card machine printed my dates full card number on the slip. I use to work at a restaurant and I know that this is not necessary. When we question the waitress on why the full number was on there, she said it was there just in case it didn't go through. (If it didn't go through then the slip would not have printed.) All they need is the last four digits and as we walked out I heard her talking to her coworker about us. I cannot describe to you how heated I was.
