Lieberman recently contracted to have extensive plumbing repairs done within the building. Lieberman did not obtain environmental permits required for asbestos removal or building permits for the plumbing repairs. Also, fire doors were installed without proper permits. What I can say is I have seen little to no change in the building since LMS took over. Our building staff is still performing side jobs for residents during their working hours, the latest being an elevator lobby being painted by one of the staff. There were 8 days that we had no heat where the staff was notified and did nothing. I have noticed a slight improvement with our door staff but nothing consistent. I have seen my assessments increase with no visible improvements except where a contractor was hired to plaster and paint. When we spoke to LMS the board was clear in the issues that needed to be addressed. LMS has been at the Barclay since October. I was assured that I would begin to notice a change after 3 months. As someone who was responsible for bringing LMS to the Barclay I feel betrayed. Not responsive. Promised extensive training for the building staff which never happened. We have had 3 building managers in less than two years. The first one had a criminal record, the second was recommended by a convicted felon and the third comes from the crown jewel of their portfolio. There has been no change in the day to day operation of the building. We have experienced days without heat and hot water. It was not until I moved into a luxury high rise that I had the pleasure to experience days with no heat or mornings with cold showers.
