I've only been here once, but I really liked it. As an Af-Am, sometimes I have a tendency to be treated really badly when going out around Los Angeles by both patrons and staff. However, my friend and I had an extraordinary experience at this place. It started out where we parked about 4 blocks away, in a lot, and the lot attendant made a "special" space for us. That was very cool. Then, we walked down Melrose and my friend, a shaved-head white guy, had an idea. He wanted to watch the boxing match, and figured they'd have it on at the black barbershop about 2 blocks from the club. They did, and they invited us in there with open arms to watch the fight-although neither of us had hair!!!! That was spectacular. They were really nice people, and knew why we were there. Then, afterwards, we went to the club, where there were tons of prime time celebrities there, just standing around, drinking, having a good time. I hope I'm not speaking too soon, but THIS IS A GREAT TIME AND I'D HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO MOST PEOPLE. Even the waitresses are attractive, and they will attend to you in a very quick manner. They will not ignore any customers (at least that was my impression), and will even thank you for the tip. THIS WAS INCREDIBLE. Pros: Very little Hollywood pretension, in a place where it should be heavily expected. Cons: Few, unless I'm speaking too soon.
