While entertaining some out of town friends this past weekend I decided to take them for a more fun girls night only dinner in the Dupont area. I had always heard great things about Lauriol Plaza from other friends but wasn't to sure what to expect. When entering in the multi-level restaurant, including top deck and outdoor seating, I immediately noticed it was a bit classier than I had originally thought. Hoping the menu wouldn't be too much out of my guest's price range I was pleasantly surprised to see $10-$18 entrees. The food was out of this world, and the heaping portions made everything a little bit better. Although they don't take reservations, if you stop in before 6:30 your odds of getting in right away are better than later in the evening as the line was out the door when we left. (a real indicator that its a popular place).
My only regret was not getting one of their amazing margaritas! Definitely the first thing I order next time I go!
