Review content:
I recently bought a 2003 Pontiac Gran Prix from Champion Ford. It was a good deal....so I thought. Then, one day after I brought the car home, it started slipping and sticking in gears. I tried a bottle of transm. cleaner to see if it was just in need of a clean-up. That made it worse. I took it to my mechanic who said the tranny was shot. He said there was brake fluid in the transm which is a common trick for dealerships to use to get a customer out the door with no notice of trans. problems then a few days later it shows symptoms of trans. problems. I asked the salesman to be honest with me- I said, "I am buying the car because it is a good deal- but please be honest and tell me if there are any immediate issues that could be a safety hazard for my sixteen year old daughter when driving this. I would rather know and have to fix it then drive away unknowingly." BOTTOM LINE- Don't trust them....they lie to your face just like any other car salesmen trying to make a buck. If my daughter was driving this car and the tranny went out- who knows what could have happened? Good thing for my mechanic.
