Review content:
I had a terrible experience with the company. I called the day earlier to request service information. I asked details about what is the charge for labor, parts, total cost if the opener needs to be completely replaced (I was told that it would be about $325), and whether the estimate is free. I was told that I will be given a free estimate and have no obligation to take the service. The next day, I waited all morning but nobody came. I contacted the office only to find out that they had my phone number wrong. The technician later called and told me that he was 50 miles away. I told him that I could call a different service company if he could not come. He said that he would come later in the afternoon. He eventually arrived and said that the garage door opener as well as the spring needs to be replaced with a total cost of about $600 ($400 for opener and $195 for spring). He said he could replace the opener but would have to order the spring. Due to the fact that the price was higher than what I was initially told and the spring has to be ordered, I did not want to take its service. I was then asked to pay $59. I said that I made clear beforehand that the estimate is free. He said that he came 50 miles away therefore I need to pay the service charge. I called the office to reason that it is not fair for me to pay the $59 just because the technician happened to be 50 miles away in his last service call. The office manager was very rude to me as well since he persisted on asking what I did for a living. I felt that this was irrelevant to the service and it was none of his business. He then said that he would call every garage door service company within a 50 mile radius not to service me. I was stunned at what he said because it was totally unprofessional. I never wrote a review for any service previously, but what he said upset me so much that I decided to write this review to prevent other people from getting poor service from this company.
