No matter how many Mexican places San Antonio can pump out, El Jarro will always be the best.
The staff is friendly, and treats their regulars very well, the band is always made up of great entertainers, the people that frequent the place are definitely interesting to observe, and the tortilla hut is always producing fresh tortillas. And on top of all that fun, the food is unbeatable. No matter what you get, everything from the chips and salsa to dessert is something to remember.
I haven't lived in San Antonio for years, and this is still the place I come back to every time I visit, even if it doesn't fit in the schedule.
