Review content:
Hot Cakes is a very pretentious place. The clientele is ritzy, the pastas are fancy and the desserts are classy. There's no chocolate eclairs here. Instead, all of the desserts are tarts and muffins. That's great for some people, but I'm not a huge fan.
Their pumpkin muffins are actually quite good, and you can get them for 1/2 off after 7:30 pm. The rest of their fare is quite typical including fruit salads, pasta salads, simple sandwiches etc. I'm not sure how many times people can go here when they're paying $5 for a pb&j or $9 for a half pound of chicken salad.
