Like most of us, it is always hard to get your parents gifts for special occaisions because they seemingly have everything. About 8 years ago, I started a Fathers Day tradition with my 85 year old father that we continue to this day. I pick him up around 9:00 am from his home in Artesia and we travel to the Plant Depot in San Juan Capistrano. We casually walk the grounds, looking for new and exotic plants and color, all the while admiring the beauty of the nursery. Kris, Jen, Brent and Jackie, always make us feel like royalty when we come, by taking time out of their daily duties to show us new hybrids, drought resistant plants, and such. This last time, the girls showed us all the hummingbird nests that were all a buzz during the springtime. This entire process takes around 2 hours and then we then go have some lunch at a nearby eatery and call it a day. My father spent his entire youth raised in the floral industry and is very peticular about where he buys his plant needs. He thoroughly enjoys the splendor of Plant Depot and looks forward to our yearly outing. Thank you Plant Depot for your continued appreciation of our patronage.
