First of all, I can't remember the last time that I actually wrote a review on a company, good or bad, but felt I had no choice here. I had not planned well and my regular groomer was booked, so I started my search for a local groomer that had room for my two small dogs. This groomer thankfully (I thought at the time) had time for them. I loaded up the pups and headed for the shop. Driving down a back alley, I arrived at the back of a house and parked in the small parking lot, cluttered with debris, still happy that they had room at the last minute. Upon entering, with the dogs and my 11 year old daughter, I was overwhelmed at the smell of cigarette smoke and other various odors. Walking down the back, poorly lit, dirty hallway (the entrance from parking lot is at the back of the house) I came into the "reception desk". It also doubled as a small cluttered retail sales area. No one was at the desk, but we heard "grooming" taking place around the corner in the next room. I heard a whimpering dog and the groomer was at, at first, sternly telling the dog to "stop it." Evidently the dog did not obey and the groomer's voice escalated with another "Stop It, This is all part of the process." Again, this poor animal, obviously having difficulty, and now the target of the "groomer's" wrath, endured a yelling trantrum by it's tormenter with a "STOP IT!!" Still, not having been greeted, I told my daughter that we were getting out of here! We hurried out and loaded up. As we were doing so, I noticed three employees just watching us, not offering any assistance or asking any questions. It was probably for the best as I wouldn't have been very kind. Please don't subject your pets to this environment. There are plenty of other options if you plan ahead, which from now on, I will. It's also too bad that the rating scale's lowest score was 1 star. That's too high!
