BMW of North HOuston and Martin Cohen, their used car salesman totally took advantage of me on my first car purchase. I did 2 full days of research trying to find the perfect car fo my soon to be 16 yr old daughter. I am from CT but staying in Tx for several months and thought I could buy her car here so I will have a car of my own while in Tx (CT laws are different so she can't technically drive alone until 4 mo after her b-day). My husband told me to go find a car, wow, this would be the first time I have ever done anything on my own, I was so nervous about it. I did a lot of research and found the perfect car and spoke w/ Martin on the phone, I did the paperwork, told him I wanted it, and then tried to figure out how I would get to Houston to get the car (I am in New Braunfels and car less), he said they could deliver it. Then he said they couldnt but I could fly to Houston to get it. So I called the next day and said we need to disucss the options for delivery, that was when I was told he was in the process of selling it to someone else, probably using my interest as his sense of "urgency" to help close the deal. I called the manager Nick and he said "their policy is first come first serve." I was NEVER informed this was even a possibility, if it was why would he tell me to buy a plane ticket for 2 days later?! Now they have pulled/dinged my credit, sold the car I was approved for and offered to pay deposit on out from under me, my daughter will be visiting me for 1 week and I wanted to suprise her with the car Friday, but I now have to start all over with the buying process. I would expect this from a low rent car dealership, but not from a luxury car dealership! We have always bought from Lexus and had AMAZING service, same thing with Land Rover (and they held the car till we got there to sign). I am shocked at how Martin and his co-workers handled this deal, and with my husband 1200 miles away I felt extremely taken advantage of. I will NEVER buy a BMW again in my life! DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP!
