Review content:
I wrote this review while I was at Pitfire staring at their giant oven while salivating. But of course Yelp doesn't allow Blackberry users to write reviews on mobile Yelp so I am writing it now!
Date: Friday, November 5
Time: 6:20ish
Last time I came here for happy hour it was right as it started so not that many people were here yet! This time it was right in the middle of the dinner rush, little kids were bumping into strangers waiting in line, business men were in line with freshly loosened ties, cute girls were working the counter with bubbly personalities, and people in their early 20's were ordering pitchers of beer!
After I put in a order for a pizza, I sat at the counter and watched the chefs toss the pies and do their magic of sprinkling on fresh ingredients. There is no case here with pre-made pizzas waiting for you, all the pizzas and other dishes are made fresh in front of you.
While waiting I met (one of the?)owners, a sweet patient handsome guy in his mid 30's/ earrrrly 40's named David.
We had a good conversation after he found out I ordered a pepperoni pizza that "we weren't going to have pepperoni on the menu you know"
Thank god they do!!!!
The way the pepperoni smells as it fizzles and intertwines with the other smells of the basil and other goodness.
"We get it from this guy up in San Francisco at a place Zoe's meats"
On top of that they have a happy hour annnd they take the KCRW Fringe Benefits card!!!
The two flat screens playing movies like Hook will keep your kids from running around. Very fun and comfortable and family geared.
Can you spot the Bicycles up toward the ceiling?
I will be back, of course!!!
