Businiess name:  Wal-Mart Supercenter
Review by:  Vanessa C.
Review content:
Ok, I was all for the new renovations that took place recently at our local Wal Mart Supercenter. That was until they completely ripped out the fresh seafood department. After shopping with our local WalMart for the past 14+ years I was extremely dissappointed to see them remove the fresh seafood department. It's hard enough trying to find fresh seafood here in the mountains worth buying but with the fresh seafood counter they used to have it wasn't a problem. I loved being able to pick and choose my fresh seafood, being able to have something steamed while I went about shopping, and talking with the employee behind the counter. Over the years we became friendly with the lady that used to work behind the counter and always knew that she would give us the freshest & best picks and recommending selections in their freezer that weren't on display. I have purchased fresh seafood from the counter on a weekly basis so you can imagine how frustrated I was when we went for our local grocery trip after going out of town and seeing it was gone!!! Now in the place of what used to be the best fresh seafood counter with the friendly face there is nothing more than everyday run of the mill generic freezer cases and very cold-service. You can guarantee that I will never again purchase seafood from WalMart in the future and because of this we will be looking for other places to patronize. What happened to that friendly face that waited on us for years? Why has WalMart taken away face to face customer service and replaced it with generic dull freezerspace? They may like the idea of turning every WalMart Supercenter into an exact carbon copy replica of each other but it's those small things like the fresh seafood counter & those friendly faces that made our WalMart special and unique. Instead of gutting the place out and removing those friendly faces maybe they should take a poll and ask , the consumers, what we would like to see done before gutting the place.
