Businiess name:  San Jose Repertory Theatre
Review by:  Bob N.
Review content:
This theater venue is really a nice and cozy environment. We recently saw Making Tracks (musical) and Avner the Eccentric (mime/clown) and enjoyed both. All of the lower level seats provide good viewing of the stage (we sat in the last row for Avner, row J middle for Making Tracks). The acoustics were good overall (Making Tracks) but the music was somewhat muffled. At first we couldn't tell if it was a live band or not. They're located behind the stage which may have diluted the music a bit, causing our confusion, is it live or is it Memorex. We're used to the theaters in SF where the orchestra is right up front. Overall, a very good theater to see live shows and musicals at a reasonable price. It's also really near lots of good restaurants so park in the parking lot next to the Rep and walk to any restaurant nearby (Spaghetti Factory, Peggy Sues, E&O Trading, Hawg's, Gordon Bierch).
