I'm so glad I found Parlor. I've gone to plenty of hair salons in NYC these last ten years, but this is the first one I've really loved. Hip but unpretentious, it's a cozy, casual environment. The stylists are friendly and surprisingly adept at mind reading; I've only had to say a few words and they've understood what I've been looking for and offered suggestions that suit my hair type. I hate having my hair cut, and most stylists have sneered at my wavy, fine hair—not Amy. She makes the cut a pleasure, and at $50 a cut what could you complain about.
