We went for our wedding anniversary, and it was really hit-and-miss. First of all, it's DARK in the restaurant. REALLY dark. As in, you can't see what you're eating.
My bouillabaisse was pretty good, and my husband got an oven-warmed cheese he liked. The breads they offer (3 varieties) are nice, except that the breadbasket shows up once, and that's it. My husband had to go and talk to the waiter so that they bring bread around again! For a restaurant that expensive, such level of service is unacceptable.
My entrée, "special" arctic char, was plain awful. It tasted fishy (well-cooked fish doesn't), the veggies (and I'm a veggie-lover) were disgusting, the skin was all over it... and the waiter DIDN'T warn us that this was THE most expensive dish in the whole menu (it wasn't on the menu, as a special).
The dessert, a berry combo, was good, but here's the story: when I called to make a reservation, and they asked me if there was anything we were celebrating, I admitted to an anniversary, and they said, oh, we are giving you a free dessert then! The waiter we got didn't know about it, but he said, sure, I'll notify the main waiter, and bring it out. The main waiter put the dessert on the bill and refused to take it off, saying that they don't do free desserts!!! Goodness - it's not like we even asked for it, they offered it in the first place!!!
So, the vibe of the place is worse than McDonald's. You don't even get a smile, and we paid more than $100 for the dinner (without the wine).
