McMenamins are just great places to go and chill. Very interesting location with all kinds of history. The soaking pools are ok if you're into that, personally, I go for the cheap movies where you can have a beer (I suggest Rubinator) and some grub. Good stuff! Check it out!! more

catch a cheap movie 8/31/2005

You can enjoy a cheap flick all in the great mcmenamins atmoshphere. The kennedy school is set in an old elementary school and it still looks like one. The Gym is where the theater is set. Detention is a smoking room/bar and the pricinples office is a bar. This is such a fun experience if you have never been you have to go. Its definitely a Portland tradition. more
