Got A/C recharged and was quoted 130-150, top hose needed to be replace, 5 minutes of work and I was charged an extra 50 dollars. Shop was notified this needed to be replaced when...

This shop is just simply the best in Reno. Through, master level, dollar-wise, honest, fast, professional, high quality, personal. This shop beats everyone I've ever had work on a car--and that's quite a long period of time:35 years. A Master Mechanic is #1, in my book. more

Great 11/21/2010

It sucks when you have to shell out to get your car fixed. We appreciate that you only focused on the problems that needed immediate attention, and showed us how we could save money now by fixing some smaller issues later (repair oil leak when getting oil changed). I also appreciate how you took me under the car, and showed me what was going on. Thanks a bunch...I think we have a new mechanic for our family. more

The problems and charges were diagnosed, explained,and repaired in a timely manner. There was a further problem that arose and required further attention afterwards and that was also repaired to my complete satisfaction. This shop lives up to the name 'Master mechanic'. more

New Glow plugs in diesel truck 11/9/2010

I was very pleased with the service I received from everyone at A Master Mechanic. I had quite a bit of extensive work done, and Jeff treated me fairly on price and kept me up to dat as to what was happening and needed doing. I will definitely be taking all of my vehicles there to be worked on. I have already started refering A Master Mechanic to my friends. I would reccomend them to anyone. more

Smog Corrected! 11/2/2010

I was impressed from the get-go, with A Master Mechanic. The staff is extremely friendly, honest and very knowledgeable. My auto, a rare subaru was failing smog. After an initial diagnosis, it was easily indicated that a valve adjustment was needed. Not less than a day later, I was driving what felt like a new car. It was smooth, quieter and even performed better at lower rpms. And, the car passed smog once again! Very happy with these guys and I believe I've found a new group of mechanics. more

A Master Mechanic is actually that. I have been going to Jeff for the last three years and he and his staff are awesome. I know that I can trust them and they are not doing any unnecessary work. Their work quality is outstanding and Jeff is always available to answer any questions I have. If you are looking for a honest repair shop, with top notch mechanics, then look no further then A Master Mechanic. more

I am very pleased with the service provided by Jeff and his crew. I had to deal with DMV referee's on my smog. Jeff hand carried all the paperwork and took care of it in a timely manner. The DMV rep's said Jeffs business is top notch with not one shotty job ever. They have earned my return business! THANKS! more

The service was exceptional. Mechanics took their time which is very important; we do not want rush jobs on our vehicles which we have to rely on every day in traffic. He made sure that everything was in good shape and safe. I will definitely recommend A Master Mechanic to everyone. more

Quick and Honest! 8/20/2010

A Master Mechanic recently diagnosed and repaired an electrical problem in my van while I waited. They did it quickly and had me back on my way! They charged a fair price for the part, and didn't add on any "extras" charges for this test or that test! They diagnosed the problem, replaced the part, and got me home. Minimum time, minimum cost. My kind of people. They have a friendly shop atmosphere and friendly yet professional mechanics. My kind of place. They be seeing more of me that's for sure. more
