My daughter's wedding was approaching and while at my hairdresser she politely told me it was time for a facial. I had only had one facial in my life at this point. I've never had a facial before, and I was literally sworn up and down my my friend, Melissa that Calm was the best place for facials and acne treatments. I had an 90-min massage and I fell asleep. No joke. I've never fallen asleep during a massage and I definitely can't sleep on my back, but there I was, on my back, waking up to the sounds of my own snoring. Joanna who also did my massage, did my facial. My face is still glowing a week after. She also gave me a lot of good tips to enhance my skincare regimen and I've definitely notice a big difference. Calm is very warm and inviting. The facial I received was well worth it. Joanna the owner, who perfomed my facial is very knowledgeable about skin care. She only uses organic creams and serums. It took approx 1 hr and in that hour my face transformed. The results of the facial were outstanding. The facial consisted of deep cleanse, exfoliation, steam, extraction and mask.. My husband couldn't believe how great my skin looked! and he never notices the difference in my skin when I have a facial. more

I went to Calm with one of my closest friends who is also my bridesmaid and was blown away by the experience. I was very impressed by the list of services offered. We decided it looked like a great place to spend the afternoon. I was having such bad skin problems once I turned 35, but couldn't understand how. I went to see Joanna at Calm Massage and Skin Care Spa and she started out with an exhaustive examination of my skin, health history, and personal habits. A little embarassing, but i later understood why she asked so many personal questions. The facial then began with cleansing and steaming with aromatic products. I was worried about extractions, but she was gentle and made me laugh when whe said I could yell and curse if I wanted to. These were the easiest extractions I ever had, and she explained about some trick she used to make it easier. Then she gave me a massage as part of the facial that was better than most massages I've received during a regular massage. Turns out she's also a massage therapist, and she found all of those knots in my shoudlers. I've never had so much massage in a facial. Most places give you a quick rub then slapa mask on you and leave. Joanna spent a long time on the massage, making it even more valuable since I went for a facial. The mask was like fresh fruit from a treee it smelled so good. Then she finished up, and began to teach me how to take care of my skin at home, including what personal habits I could modify. Its been a few months and I can't believe how good my skin looks with the changes I've made. Joanna is the best. more

The moment I walked through the door I had a good feeling I had made a great choice. I had a Swedish Massage with hot stones. The hot stones were an addition I was glad I made. This treatment brought me to a whole new level of relaxation. After my massage I had a European facial. This was a great way to wrap up my visit. Joanna is very friendly, accommodating, and accomplished. I was beyond pleased with my visit and an added bonus the prices were reasonable. In a mere 90 minutes, my aching body was put back together again, and my face glowed from the great smelling skin care products. Of course I waited until the last minute, but the owner Joanna made the whole process easy for me because I had no idea (and still don't know) what spa package to give. She asked me a few questions about what I thought my wife might like, and what my budget was, and then she would handle it by customizing a package so my wife would get exactly what she likes. And boy, did she ever. Finally I found her! Joanna is a true caring professional, giving massages and facials that are truly customized like she says. She spent time talking with me to find out what the issues where, and ended up finding the things I forgot. All, I repeat ALL of her products are organic and toxin free, unlike some spas that use one product with maybe one organic ingredient in the bottle then smothered with chemicals. My skin was clean, smooth and soft for days afterward, and my tortured muscles finally have relief.
