Boris is hands down the best! I discovered Boris through Groupon a few months ago. I am VERY picky about my haircuts; I have long hair that I am very protective about. The haircut that I got from Boris is the first that I have ever gotten that I have absolutely no complaints about. His work is incredible. He took my long hair and made it more playful and gave it lots of body(which is hard to do with my fine hair). I always walk out of his salon feeling like a supermodel. Boris takes his time with your hair and cuts it how YOU want it, while still adding a twist. Today, I went back for my second cut from him and amazingly it looked even better than the first cut! I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to go to Boris if you are looking to get drop dead gorgeous looking hair! more

Today, I called Boris, for the first time, at 5:00 pm, in a panic over a terrible cut and color, received at another salon. Boris stayed late to fit me in at 7:00 this evening. He was very personable and knowledgeable. He listened carefully to what I wanted and provided some much welcomed input and advice. He fixed the color 100% and the new color looks fantastic. He gave me a phenomenal cut as well and styled my hair beautifully. It is quite possibly the best it has ever been. I have nothing but positive praise and will continue to go back to him. more

I'm a 25 yr old male and my hair is starting to thin out some on top. You know the usual pattern, if you wait too long after a haircut, it starts looking really thick on the sides and not so much on top. I've never been able to feel completely comfortable or happy with my hair/hairline and usually just hoped someone did a decent job, and then I’d wear a hat most of the time. So that’s my back story. Now I just want to say that Boris must cut my hair with magic scissors because he somehow blends my hair to make it look naturally thicker. He manages to cut lots of hair off, but make me look like I have the hair I had in high school. His blending methods are amazing and he can thin out thick parts to match your thinning parts and even make your hair line look younger and more natural. I’ve never been so happy after getting a haircut or felt more confident. I’ve been to him twice now and both times he has been right on the money. This place is no joke. If you want a good cut, go to Boris. I can only vouch for guys cuts, but I will say he does a better job than any other place I’ve ever seen. Just know a guys cut is $35. So if you can swallow the cost, I promise you that you will get your money’s worth. Go to Boris, get a haircut you’ll be proud to wear! more

I'm not normally that concerned with my hair (typical guy) so I went in and just expected to get a nice trim and that's all. Well, I got a lot more than that. I think Boris did an amazing job at taking my natural, kind of unorthodox hair style and transforming it into a fantastic hair cut that stays true to me. I discovered Boris while he was still operating on Slade Avenue. What a find even though it's an hour drive from York, PA.\r \r From the first I was impressed. We sat down and discussed our ""plan of action."" Plus he educated me on hair care which I direly needed. By following his advice I find my hair is healthier now than it has been in 20 years.\r \r I enjoy Boris because he's such a character! I just sit back and let myself be pampered. I was excited to hear Boris was back in town, so I rushed over to see him around in his new location on Falls Road (as he moves around a lot). However, his styles are worth the chase. Although he does not do updo's and perms, you can always rely on an unbelievable haircut with great color for a reasonable price. He's known for his 3 C's: cut, color, couture. I walked out with an edgier, sassier version of what had thought i wanted, which all my friends complimented as being very complimentary to my personality and lifestyle, and i can even wear it to work! I would recommend it to all you Ladies with a desire for something new and exciting! more

In the five years Boris has worked on my (dwindling) hair, he has never disappointed me. From his suggestions and creativity he has never ceased to amaze me by making me look much younger and even 'hip,' which has never been my style. Well, it is now. I will say this much, my hair was extremely shiny when I left there and he spent a lot of time discussing what I wanted and tried to give me that. But I left there feeling like I had been ripped off. It was $250 for a mediocre cut and semi permanent color. I really wanted to like it more for that kind of money, but in my mind he's not worth the cost. Another great color.. as always! Boris is so unique and one of a kind at his craft, but he is like other hair stylists (at least that I've had) in that he moves around! lol! No worries, he isn't far, and this place is WAY more convenient (and nicer!) for me and my husband. I loved my first experience at this salon--Boris is fantastic, a true master of his craft. I've been getting my hair colored for years, and never knew it was capable of looking so great! Boris is my new favorite hairdresser!\r I moved to Baltimore and did not know a soul! and I went the the WRONG salon..basically my hair was a hot mess! BUT I chose the right salon when I went to Boris, he fixed my hair, made it healthy and beautiful! we still joke about how horrible my hair was when I first came in but thanks to him I will never have to go through that again! I had been losing weight steadily for the past several months (over 20 pounds), but no one noticed until after my cut/color from Boris! I was frustrated with cheap haircuts not doing ""my bob"" the way I wanted it, so I decided to take a chance here. Boris explained to me how ""my bob"" wasn't really the right look, exactly, for me, and he was right. (however, he volunteered to ""undo"" the cut and revert to a classic bob if I disliked the cut after a few days). I think I actually got 3 distinct haircuts (a sketch and two distinctly different refinements) during the single appointment, plus gorgeous color which is much healthier for my hair. Normally I procrastinate getting my hair done, since I know I'll be disappointed (which is why I came in with it so long), but I'm actually eager to go back for a trim and see what other ideas he has! Boris did a wonderful job with my cut and color. He thinks of hair much like an artist thinks of their canvas. And over the course of an hour, my hair evolved from boring and looking too much like every other woman's, to a sassy and unique, asymmetrical style. The color that Boris applied is gorgeous. I'm a client of Boris's and I used to work with him, and I can't say enough good things about his work. He's one of the few hairstylists that actually listens to what you have to say. His technique in applying hi-lites and color is like no other, my hair looks and feels just as shiny and healthy as my daughters hair- and the color is AMAZING!
