I was so excited to try the vegan facelift. When Jane told me to lie face down, I was confused. She then told me that it would start with some massage. At one point I turned around to see Jane kneeling on my calfs as she was stretching my back. It was amazing!! Then we got to the "facial" -- my face was washed, massaged, masked, and moisturized. Jane then massaged my legs, feet, arms and hands. At no time did she leave the room like they do at most places while the mask is drying. After, Jane brought me some chocolate tea and some chocolates -- I was completely pampered from head to toe! It was definitely the most unique, relaxing facial I have ever had. It was more like a full body lift.. I left glowing and I can not wait to go back! more

This spa is so quiet and peaceful - it is a wonderful relaxing way to spend an afternoon or evening. The environment is wonderful, the massage great and the price very reasonable too! It is the most spacious and private Thai spa in the area. more

Amazing Massage--Serene and Peaceful 12/15/2008

My friend gave me a gift certificate to Bambu for my birthday. This was the best gift ever! I love Thai massages but usually the places you get them are kind of dingy. This place was an incredibly beautiful, clean (and green) high end type of spa, but with unbelievably reasonable prices and truly incredible treatments. I had a "Bali High" massage and it was such a treat. I've never been so loose and relaxed after a massage. The products they use are also really luxurious... and organic to boot! Now I know what all my friends are getting from me for the holidays...Gift Certificates to Bambu Thai Spa. I can't wait to go back! Pros: Great treatments, good prices, great atmosphere. Cons: I couldn't find one. more

I love getting facials, but sometimes the products can cause a reaction since my skin is so sensitve. I was intrigued by the Vegan Facelift. Totally Vegan and organic...right up my alley! I was in heaven...I can't decide what I liked more, the products or the stimulating massage. I could actually feel my face soaking in the nutrients..I left with my skin glowing. And it glowed for days.....I can't believe it was only $70. I love a bargain! I also love the fact that the spa is eco-friendly! Pros: Immaculate, Serene, Relaxing Cons: None more

Best massage ever! 12/10/2008

I stumbled upon the Bambu Thai Spa coming out of yoga (it is right next door to Angel City Yoga) , and I decided to give it a try. My neck, shoulders and back are always stiff from picking up my 2 year old all day. The chiropractor didn't help. I never had a thai massage before, and it was AMAZING! Connie gave the best massage I've ever had, and I have been to a lot of spas! I feel like a new woman.... And the atmosphere is so serene and peaceful, and clean. It is a little hard to find because It is set back from Ventura Blvd., but it is like an oasis in the middle of one of the busiest streets in L.A. I cannot wait to go back to try the Vegan Face Lift! Pros: Thumbs way up! Great massage, great ambience, reasonable price. Cons: If I have to say something negative...there is only 2 hour parking on the street. more

Great "facelift"! 10/28/2008

Decided to try their totally vegan "facelift" which was as described, a combination of a Thai massage and a holistic facial. My therapist, Tiky, said this was a popular combination in her country. The products were yummy, they actually made me hungry. My stomach kept growling and Tiky said maybe I would like to eat some of the product because is made from fruits and vegetables. She then said, just kidding and proceeded to lull me into an altered state. Definitely would recommend and is a steal at $70.00. I like too, that they donate to women's causes. The place is so clean I wanted to take my shoes off at the door and the temple like music was hypnotic. Only downside it is a little hard to find, its set off the street, but well worth the effort. Parking is only 2 hours, but hey, it's LA! If you want to escape into a quiet place for awhile, this is just what the doctor ordered. Pros: Great vibe Cons: Parking, if I had to say something negative. more
