I have always struggled with getting a good haircut, but Tara at Aqua FX has changed all that. She is truly an artist. She made the right changes in the shape and style of my cut and gave me a more youthful and sassy look. I am just so excited. And the color is fabulous -- nice chunky browns and blondes, and still shiny and healthy, Besides that she is so fun to talk to. Having a great hairdresser is one less stress in my life. I came to this salon for the first time last week (January 18th, 2010) after passing by it many times! I absolutely loved it. I was greeted at the door and was respected my entire visit! Sarah Torrente did my hair and was there ready for me. The back room for shampooing your hair is so relaxing and comfortable. Once coming out for her to cut my hair the owner and Sarah kept me entertained and laughing the whole time. (I lost my father over the summer, so a good laugh for me recently has been scarce.) It was so plesant to get out and have a refreshing and much needed hair cut, along with a good laugh! I have lived in Folsom for 10+ years and been to a good number of the many salons here. Obviously I have found some better then others and some even really fantastic ones, as well as really horrible. Aqua FX is definitely one of the fantastic ones. The inside is so cute and the people are great. Getting your hair cut/colored/washed, etc. should be something people look forward to. It's nice to be pampered and well taken care of and that is just what you get from Aqua FX! more

I have never been able to find someone who can handle my mane of long, ultra-thick, wavy hair the way that Stephanie does. She has done my hair for years, both cut and color including some very fabulous highlights, plus she is a total sweetheart so it's always pleasant chatting with her while she does my hair. I recently moved to Monterey, but I have yet to find anyone who can do my hair the way that Stephanie does. Also, the price for the service is quite reasonable as far as upscale salons go; and they have complimentary wine and coffee which is always a plus. more

Stephanie Peters has been my hair dresser for 3 years and I think she is great! Not only does she cut my hair better than anyone ever has. She cares about accomodating my schedule and will do whatever she can to ensure I remain a happy client. I even go inbetween my appointments for a complimentary neck clean up. I think she's great, give her a try! more

Aqua FX had a good atmosphere. However, Stephanie Peters was late for my appointment by 45 minutes and smelled like she had been drinking, probably why my hair turned out less then satisfactory. I would reccomend Aqua ,just a different stylist! Pros: atmosphere Cons: stylist more

I can't complain about this salon and I gotta say that it has brilliant\r customer service & they always have stuff to read.My hair stylist is \r Stephanie Peters.... I luv the way she cuts hair and reccommends \r what stying tools, shampoos & conditioners to use. She'll even to\r every word you say when explaining a certain hairstyle. I would \r reccommend this salon to anyone who wants a great haircut and\r it's easy to book appointments. Give them a call! Pros: luv it! Cons: can't complain more

My initial outlook on aqua fx was good. unfortunately my stylist stephanie was late for my appointment. I had called the day prior to confirm my appointment and all day i just got their answering machine,stating the front office staff was busy and would get back to me,they didnt. The cut was average, and atmosphere was good, but customer service was lacking. Pros: Nice atmosphere. Cons: Poor customer service. more

My stylist recently moved here. I didnt want to make the drive from Elk Grove at first, but after going to this salon once i fell in love. The have the best style and atmosphere any one could ever ask for. The recently started carring clothes and they are so cute and affordable. My stylist moved to this salon about a year ago and I don't have any complaints at all. The salon is always clean. Always has GREAT new magazines. Nice Staff. Always as you if you would like something to drink...or wine :-). Easy to make appointments. Great products. Great hair color. \r \r One time I said ""next time lets do a couple more highlights in the front....my stylist told me....oh no, if you want more....let's do it now....I want you to love it when you leave.""
