Not as good as the one in Pasadena 9/11/2007

We went to the one in Burbank for my b-day in 3/07. OK food, but my sashimi plate was lousy. It had only several pieces of tuna, salmon and yellowtail. But 2 (out of 3) of my tuna was not edible (very tough and stringy), I spat out both pieces and complained to the waitress. But she was not doing anything except said ""sorry"". For the price they charged for the sashimi dish, it is darn unacceptable to get such the low grade portion. The sushi bar chef is under-qualified. I will not go back again. On the other hand, we had pretty good experience with the one in Pasadena. Pros: Not Crowded Cons: High Price for so so food, lousy sashimi dish more

Great place in Glendale 5/5/2004

Ive been here countless times and it has been very consistent in quality. If you are a non-sushi person, Theres lots of other excellent choices that are cooked! The combination boxed lunch are a great value. Overall, this restaurant is a winner. Pros: good fish, lots of choices more

EXCELLENT SERVICE 2/8/2004

i must say, though the food was great in of itself, the chefs at the bar are almost SHOCKINGLY friendly and attentive. the spicy tuna and scallop rolls that of any i have had on ventura blvd. and as an added bonus, the chefs give you unexpected complimentary treats and desserts free of charge. it is by far the best sushi place to go in burbank. no question! Pros: friendly, great value, parking more

Great Sushi Bar! 3/30/2003

Sit at the sushi bar and you won't be disappointed! The chef's are terrific--friendly and master's of sushi ""art""--and the fish is fresh. There are plenty of choices on the rest of the regular menu and the servers are friendly. Pros: Great sushi!, Ample parking more

AUTHENTIC, TASTY, WORTH A TRY! 12/6/2002

This Sushi place is farby one of the BEST ones I've been to. It's a small place, not really the romantic setting, but it's good for friends, get togethers or even just a 1 on one meal. Even for those who don't really eat sushi or shashimi, this is a GREAT place! My boyfriend loved their steak meat dinner and I had really good Eel and Tempura rolls. The price was decent..averaged I'd say. I paid $6.50 for Eel rolls, and $8.00 for Tempura Rolls, that's the same for any average place around here. The service was excellent as well. There's also a parking structure nearby, so you don't have to walk far. Pros: GOOD service, Good sushi more

Friendly Service Earns Repeat Customers 11/6/2002

It's a great sushi bar for lunch. Unlike other Japanese restaurants, this place will bring you special items on the house! Try it once and you'll love to go back. more

Excellent prices for 5 star food! 10/27/2002

My girlfriend and I are always looking for new places to dine in LA and this is one of the best! They have a lunch special where you can choose two main courses with 3 California rolls, 2 crab puffs, 2 guiozas, salad, rice and miso soup for only $9.50 durinf the weekends and 6.50 during the week! It's more than enough food and sometimes we share and leave there very satisfied. Besides that, the atmosphere is great. Waiters are very friendly and treat like a family. Great pick! more

""This Place Is It"" 8/10/2002

I know there are many sushi places around and everybody has their favorite, but this one ranks with the best of them. If you sit at the sushi bar, the three chefs are friendly and as your meal progresses, nice occaisional treats are offered for the tasting by the chefs. The prices are probably par with most other places but they do have what they call ""Power Hour"" Mon. thru Thur. from 5:30 to 7:30 where they offer select sushi rolls and appitizers for $2.50 and reduced price beers too. The atmosphere is great and the other customer at the bar love to be friendly and chat too. Check it out sometime, it's worth the try. Pros: Very Fresh Fish, Large Selection, Friendly service Cons: Sometimes crowded more
