Zippy's Ba Ba

The Scene
Zippy's does a big takeout business during the lunch rush, but evening brings more in-house eating: neighborhood families share Greek dinners while beer lovers nurse brews and burgers. Owner "Zippy" provides a low-key running commentary throughout the night.

The Food
The menu is simple and straightforward: try a basic burger, chili dog, chicken taco, lamb gyro and fries or go Greek with Zippy's family recipes. The baked olive oil-lemon chicken and the roasted leg of lamb dinners are served with oven-roasted potatoes, Greek style green beans and a decent Greek salad. Some might call the dinners overcooked, for others it will seem like the comfort of home cooking. The white spaghetti needs more "zip" and homemade pie would be a nice addition to the menu.
