Of the four contractors we called for an estimate, we chose Zimmer Bros Waterproofing to do the job. Entrance steps, two retaining walls, French curbs (all in stamped concrete) and then driveway paving. From the very beginning, they was very professional. Listened attentively to what we had to say and how we imagined the final results and at the end they gave us some advices. They were friendly and always willing to make minor changes when asked .For the driveway, since we have clay, they excavated deeper than the eighteen inches we had agreed upon. At the end of each day, they left the site very clean and took all safety precautions. The final results were better than we had anticipated. Everything was done well and to our satisfaction. It looks sensational. Neighbours and passers-by, they all stop to admire the work. I saw few of them write down the company’s phone number. Zimmer Bros Waterproofing employees from the estimation to the actual work to the after completion follow up were professional and courteous. They took the time to hear our wishes and give us a quote comparable or better to others we already had. The men on the job ensured our needs for the installation as well as needs for the day (getting around the house) were met. They discovered a treasure hidden underground where they dug for the patio and asked us what we would like to do with it rather than keep it for themselves. We have a 6o` driveway and the patio was approximately as big. It was a big job but the crew kept a good pace and completed the job within the week. We had curious neighbours looking in on the project and asking for the name of the company so they can give estimates for their properties. Upon completion and approximately two weeks later, they returned to ensure we were pleased with the job. We and the neighbours watching the project were more than pleased with the work well done. Had the boys from Zimmer Bros Waterproofing and I was quite impressed. They performed the job very reliably, on-time and very clean. I appreciated the care to detail such as hosing off the road, and cleaning up, so that neighbors don`t complain. They did shoulders for myself and my neighbor in the exact times that were promised and to the specifications requested. The only thing that could have been improved, is that sometimes when they say their going to come at a certain time, they don`t always make that mark. But the are reliable and DO show up that day and always finish when expected. There is no need to be worried if they are a bit late in arriving. more
