Great food but Cockroach?! 7/10/2011

Great atmosphere, great sushi, friendly servers. However, when they served us our plate, a small cockroach leaped from the plate and onto the table. The manager and the server were very apologetic and assured that pest control will come the very next day. I felt embarrassed for the establishment. I'm sure it won't happen again... but if it weren't for this incident, I would definitely recommend it. more

I love this place! 1/7/2010

This place has a great atmosphere, the servers are great, and the chef's are overly nice, tend to your needs, and do a great job! My two favorites are the Bubba Roll (very big) and the Albacore Sashimi. My favorite Sushi Place ever! Cons: A little far from me (worth the drive) more

Great Sushi 8/13/2008

I just wanted to take a quick moment to write about this place. It is in Costa Mesa, so it is perfect when you want to have a dinner then go upstairs to chronic cantina or sutra. The quality sushi is great and the prices are fantastic. I love this place and try to go at least once a month. more

A gem in Triangle Square. 2/23/2008

I am inspired to write this review because I believe it is important to reward good restaurants with good word of mouth (in a manner of speaking). Sushi Zen is a restaurant that my dh and I do not get to visit often due to distance from our house, but when we do, it is always a highly satisfying experience. Pros: It's located in Triangle square Cons: You have to park in Triangle square (shudder) more
