Excellent Food 1/6/2009

My husband and I chose to take four family members here for dinner while we we're visiting San Antonio, his Mom & sister with their husbands. We've both lived overseas as children, so we like different foods from around the world. We we're greeted by the owner's as if we were family.\r The appetizer's and the food were delicious. Service was exceptional. Prices were reasonable. We would eat here again. They told us they are changing location's, so be sure and call ahead to see if move has\r taken place. We would eat here again. Pros: Great food, great service more

NOT CONSISTENT ON FOOD QUANTITY 4/20/2008

I have now been to ZAKI 5 times, and each time ordered the exact same item and 5 times I received a completely different amount of food..... One time I get Salad for 4, next time not enough for 1.... One time PITA for 3 next time NO PITA, its very frustrating.\r \r Food has ALWAYS been good,,,,, you just never know what amounts your getting. Pros: GREAT FOOD Cons: Poor customer service and portion control more

Good stuff 12/18/2007

Food is great and excellent service. Love the Kabobs and the hummus. I try to go there once every week. Pros: Good food and service Cons: Nothing more

Super Kabobs! 10/27/2007

I am farily new to San Antonio and in the military. My deployments to the Middle East exposed me to the cuisine of the region. I was looking for something different here in town, so I decided to try Zaki. It was a very pleasant surprise! The decor and ambiance isn't that great, but you if you are looking for a change in your normal dining fare, try this place because the food was excellent. The pita bread and hummus was most excellent along with the chicken kabobs. Very authentic! If your tired of mexican food along with the myriad of fast food restaraunts, then try this place. Pros: Easy acces to location....just off 410 and Babcock more

Feast of the Middle East 2/7/2007

Zaki is an Arabic word for delicious, and the authentic Middle Eastern fare served at this wonderful cafe more than lives up to its name. Nowhere in the city (besides my dads house for Sunday lunch) have I been able to find such amazing traditional Arabic cuisine. Tabooley, falafel, shish kabobs (chicken or kafta both perfect), shawarma, lamb (some of the best I've ever had), hummus and their rice are all terrific. Service is friendly and very accommodating and the price is absolutely unbeatable, a filling lunch is around $5, and the bill for a gut busting dinner ran me and 3 others a total of $28. If you're anywhere near the IH-10/Loop 410 this will soon be your favorite spot for lunch or dinner but its a definite must try anywhere in the greater San Antonio area. Pros: Oustanding food and service, very affordable more
