I love the salad specials they have here - the grilled chicken and grilled steak are both yummy, make you feel healthy without being deprived. They use some sort of special sauce which gives it an asian-mediterranean flavor and is still really juicy. Plus lots of good quality feta - yum! People here are very nice too and it's a nice and quiet spot. more

I went based on other recommendations found here. My wife and I LOVED it! We were looking for a nice breakfast, and we found it at Zabies. The rest of the menu looks great and we are slowly going to try it all because everything about our experience was fantastic. Pros: Healthy, Fresh, Delicious Cons: street parking more

Nothing To Love About It 12/6/2005

I went because of the favorable reviews. It was TERRIBLE! The service was non-existant, slow, horrible, and there must be a house rule against the staff smiling. Everyone looked so grumpy. The food was only passable, at best. The ham sandwich I had was no better than I could have picked up at convenience market cold case. The decor is sort-of ""cute"" in a ""we did it ourselves"" way. There are so many wonderful attributes of this cozy breakfast/ lunch cafe, it is hard to begin! The service is very friendly, nice and welcoming. The food is amazing with portions that are big and a selection of unique dishes. I personally love the omlettes but the salads are awesome too. Zabies is one of my favorite places for breakfast. I live in the Valley and will make the drive over the hill to endulge in their healthy and yummy food! The coffee is great also. Its a family run business that really focuses on customer service...the way a restaurant should be run. It truly is a gem in L.A.! more

Absolutely Charming with the Best Food Around!! 7/20/2005

Zabies is by far my favorite breakfast, AND my favorite lunch! The service is fast, the coffee is hot, and there is no way I can walk out of there without one of those amazing desserts! Everthing is always fresh and exactly how I ask for it, and the service is always perfect, no attitude at all in this cute little place! Out of all the little cafe's in LA, it truly sets the bar, you have to check it out! more

This is the best place to dine at if you like great food and service. I love the Filet Mingon salad, which is not on the menu but if you ask, they will make it for you. I don't know any other place where they will make you a dish like this for such a reasonable price. Also, if you are a breakfast person, this is your kind of place. Zabies is a great place for Breakfast or Lunch, Coffee is FRESH, food is fantastic, service is very friendly, and prices are great! I would recommend this place with out a doubt. this is the best place for lunch and breakfast. if you like healthy and fresh dishes then the place for you to be is at Zabies. they make a Filet Mingon salad which I love and it doesnt cost you an arm and a leg. more
