Used to be Spices Indian restaurant. While I miss having a nice Indian cuisine place, the replacement is also a winner.
Went here for lunch on a weekday. There was a decent sized crowd there, but service was nicely attentive. Atmosphere is kind of a hipster-minimal, lots of black and a bit of a spare look, but it's not too dark, too loud, or too forbidding.
The reason to go back is the food. Tried the Kapow and the Drunken Noodle, both were very good, bordering on excellent. The Kapow especially was spicy without being overly hot.. And for lunch, the price was very inexpensive. We will definitely be returning.
