Best Tasting Cupakes in L A! 7/18/2006

I love cupcakes so I'm always looking for bigger better. Without a doubt, Yummy Cupcakes has the best tasting cupcakes I have found in LA. The popularity of Sprinkles is a huge mystery to me. I admit I stood in line to try them twice (I thought maybe the bad cupcakes I had the first time were just a fluke). But enough already. Once you figure out they aren't worth the line or the money, stop going! I like the cupcakes (and other things) at Jones on 3rd. Worth the trip. Doughboys red velvets have been my favorite until I found these guys. Their red velvet is THE best. The peanut butter and jelly is worth a special trip alone and yes, I am addicted to the chocolate fudge one! Plus almost everytime I've been there I saw some celeb either coming or going. Good place to go...Good place to be seen! Pros: Cupcakes and Celebs Cons: Hard to find the first time more

Incredible!!! 7/1/2006

I must say that finding Yummy Cupcakes has been the best thing that has happened to me. Why wouldn't it be if their cupcakes are delicious, and their staff is extremely friendly. The lines are short, and the cupcakes are reasonably priced. Once you taste them, you know that it was worth it! I went to Sprinkles in Beverly Hills, and thought it was horrible. I had lost my faith in GOOD cupcakes until I found this place. They have a huge selection to choose from, and you can't help but to want everything! My personal favorite would be the red velvet. It is so wonderful, and I can't help buying several at a time. The moist red cake urges you to try it, and the Creamcheese frosting makes you wanting more. I had bought a numerous amount of cupcakes for a party from Yummy Cupcakes, and the staff was very helpful and patient with my selection. They even helped me pick out the right cupcakes for my guests, and answered every question I threw at them. To top it off, they even helped me get into my car! Now tell me, would Sprinkles ever do that? You wont be dissapointed, and I can gaurantee that! Pros: Service, Parking more

The BEST! Hands down! 6/24/2006

This place has THE best cupcakes hands down, no question about it! The service is excellent. Theres always a smiling face to welcome you into this delectable cupcake heaven. The cupcakes are moist, and so soft. The frosting is perfect...fluffy with the perfect amount of sweetness. Its so smooth unlike some of their rival's gritty, tooth hurting sweet ""buttercream"". Yummy boasts excellent flavor, in fact SEVERAL of them. Theres two different feature flavors a day, with exotic and heart warming flavors like margerita (part of their ""happy hour"" line) and pb&j. There IS something for everyone here. I deffinitly recommend this place! Pros: Service, flavors, DELICOUSNESS more

Cheaper than the average cupcake shop 6/22/2006

These cupcakes had some good flavor. I thought overall they were smaller and more buttery than their westside rival Sprinkles, but still delicious. They are cheaper by about $1.50 to sprinkles depending on the flavor. There are flavor menus by day so check online and then go when you see something you like.\r \r It's easy to miss, look for the Kung Fu sign and it's right nearby. I drive this street everyday and couldn't find it for a long time. You could probably make them cheaper, but if you're in a pinch or you want something special check it out. Pros: cupcakes Cons: hard to find more

Why Haven't I Heard About This Place Before! 6/4/2006

A friend of mine had these cupcakes at a party at the Roosevelt Hotel and has not stopped talking about them since. I went to the shop in Burbank with some friends to check it out for myself. Now I know what she was talking about. The red velvet cupcake was the best I have ever had. I tried a fudge yummy that had some sort of chocolate fudgey center. I'm hooked. The lines on the weekend were shorter than the Thursday I was there. So happy I found this place. Pros: Friendly staff, Free street parking Cons: Easy to miss more

Great shop, friendly service 5/23/2006

Since I found this place, I've been there once a week (at least!) to try new flavors - they are ALL delicious, I especially recommend Lemon Drop and Cream Puff. The Happy Day is always a favorite, with creamy pink vanilla buttercream frosting - yum! The staff are friendly and always happy to see you... great place!! more

Best Cupcakes We've Tasted! 5/14/2006

My friends and I went to Yummy Cupcakes and were blown away. Their Red Velvet cupcake was soooooo delicious we were fighting over the last three! Best Red Velvet cupcake I have every had. I also tried a Peach Cobbler cupcake. That was amazing!! Great place to go for cupcakes. It was like walking into a kitchen and getting fresh cupcakes that were just made for you. Apparently this store has only been open a few months. This is a GREAT find!!! Pros: short lines, friendly staff more

BEST Cupcakes yet!!! 4/12/2006

The cupcakes here are so yummy! I think they are way better than Sprinkles Cupcakes in beverly hills. Better than Auntie Ems too. The prices are great. Big selection and very pretty looking. The lady helping me was so friendly and made sure I had the best cupcake of the bunch. I will be going here from now on. Pros: taste, prices, service Cons: easy to miss, closes early more
