This place is run by a Korean family. Which means food is decent, price is reasonable. However, the staff can be abrupt and rude. Quality of the Sushi is better than neighboring sushi joints but not better than Japanese owned Sushi place. Go there early since the place is very small and always packed. Don’t be surprised if you are asked to leave more tips. more

I would definitely recommend this sushi cafe. I haven't been there with the lunch rush but the service was great on a Friday night ordering take out. I waited 8min to get my order and that's not bad at all. The food is even better! I'm a sushi lover and being South African and used to very salty and flavored food everything American tastes bland to me but this is the best sushi I've ever had by far!!! more

This is great as they are able to keep prices that others can't match for awesome sushi. Reading this I don't think you get it. Your not at a cheezy corporate chain where you get your way and people care about your kids. Why would they waste one of their only four tops on 2 california rolls, 3 waters, all totaling up to a $30 check for sitting there an hour. I'm sure you'll be missed when they get a proper table of adults taking shots of sake. Do everyone who likes to enjoy their meal while they are eating the best sushi in town a favor and goto RA. They have outside seating and a nice half off happy hour. It's a small place that should not allow kids. Get a babysitter if you want to go and show the common courtesy to everyone else by not bringing your screaming babies or obnoxious kids. more

Rude, Nasty Hostess and Manager 8/4/2011

If I could give them a -0- I would. Myself and my 2 daughters arrived for dinner on a slow thursday nite. There were three tables available and were told we could not sit there. It was for four people. We were told that we would need to sit at the bar. I have a back issue and can not sit in a high bar stool. They would rather loose 3 paying customers than allow us to push two tables together and sit there. They were the rudest people I ever wanted to meet. I don't know how they can stay in business with the economy in such turmoil. I/We will never go there again and will make sure none of our very large family or network of friend will either. There are plenty of other friendly places to go and spread our wealth around to people who will care. I tried to call and let the management know what was going on and he refussed to come to the phone. Good luck with your business I'm sure the public will figure this out and find a nicer place as well... more

I love this place! Best sushi in town if you actually like sushi. Don't come here expecting Americanized fluff, the sushi is the real deal. Also, don't bring kids here unless they are experienced with sushi. You will receive no sympathy when you ask for a kids mac n cheese, plus its annoying to the others who are there to enjoy the great food. more

I love this place and go about once a week!! The sushi is great and the prices are really reasonable ! But I agree with some of the other post about the service. Once you sit down the services is fine but the food always takes a while and they are really bad at getting tables turned on a wait. (they always leave one or two seats open at the bar in case 1 person walks in) I believe they are just under staffed in the dinning room and in the kitchen. Just today I called to order take out at 7:15 and they said it would not be ready until 9:00 on a tuesday in the middle of summer! But I would highly suggest to check it out best sushi in town by far! more

i came there fews time always wait at less 30 minutes though food good and price is ok but the servers are the worst i have ever meet in many restaurant i ve been eat,,\r they automatic add 20% gratuity in the bill without a notice .. never come back again! more

I definitely agree with the Sushi Nazi references, but I also agree they are worth it. Their random "no takeout orders" kind of make ordering sushi an adventure, ok not really it is really annoying to have your order ready, you make that call and BAM no sushi for you! But when you can get it, its really good quality & the prices are great! more

Sushi Nazi's (reference Seinfeld Soup Nazi) but awesome sushi. My favorite in town. Cheap prices, great food, fast service. However, they are always in a rush, because the restaurant is so small and they are always packed. They won't seat you unless the entire party is present. But these rules, allow them to keep the place packed and keep the prices low. A small price to pay for great cheap sushi. more

I love yumi but there hours and capacity are horrible. The last 3 times I've visited they have been closed for various reasons. Also they never answer the phone when you call! If you want good sushi but impersonal service, try yumi out. more

Good food, RUDE people 5/8/2009

My companion & I came in past lunch rush. All side tables filled, space @ bar and 2 little single tables pushed together available. Waitress insisted we go to the bar. We said no, we wished to talk to each other face to face. We asked why we couldn't sit at one of the 2 little tables pushed together. She said no, what if she got 4 customers.? No customers in sight but us. She was quite rude and refused to seat us except at the bar. We told her we hoped she got a table for 4, because she had just turned away 2 paying customers who will not come back. We left. Nasty lady. Pros: Good sushi and food, reasonable prices, very little wait str Cons: Rude people more
