My daughter has been at Stars & Tykes since she was in infant. She is now almost 3. With each ""promotion"" to a new classroom, we have been sad for our little girl to leave, but delighted to know that we are moving on to another teacher that cares about the development and happiness of our daughter. \r \r I have seen other centers with fancier playgrounds, newer facilities, and more expensive pricetags. But none can compare with the level of attention and love that my child gets on a daily basis at this center. And of course, it has all the basics your child needs. Nutritious menu, good curriculum, plenty of security for your childs safety, shaded outdoor play areas, etc.\r \r One of the best things about this center is the longevity of the staff. The infant room teacher has been there 17 years. Other teachers at the center have been there 5-15 years each, not just in child care, but at this center alone. That low turnover is unprecedented, and it has allowed our family to have long term stable relationships that are key to learning and development.\r \r One other thing I love is the diversity of the families whose children attend the center. The price of this hidden gem makes it accessible to some who maybe would not be able to afford the Ivy League-like tuition that some centers charge. I have been blessed such that I could afford more expensive centers, but I stay here because I feel that my child is in an excellent environment that is rich in many ways, not just the monetary sense. (If you don't understand why exposure to all sorts of different people will enhance your child's learning and development, then this center may not be for you.)\r \r more

My husband and I are both attorneys and our two children have been in daycare/preschool full-time since 3 months of age. When selecting a daycare center, safety and a loving environment were our first priorities. We also wanted a center focused on ""hands on"" learning. Stars & Tykes met (and exceeded) all of our requirements. Both of our kids (our son who is now 5 and our daughter who is almost 1) have gone to Stars & Tykes. My husband and I visited a good number of schools in the Dallas/Plano area before choosing Stars & Tykes. Other centers may be newer with more ""bells and whistles,"" but we strongly believe that no other center equals Stars & Tykes in terms of offering a loving and safe environment for babies and kids to grow and develop. It truly is a home away from home. The teachers and staff are like family. They love kids and form strong bonds with the kids in their care. We can't say enough great things about this center. We know many other families with kids in this center and they all love it as much as we do! more

I started taking my son there when he was only 6 weeks old. He is now 4 months old and all I can say is that I am very pleased with the infant room. I can not speak for the other classes but the caretakers in the infant room are outstanding. They are so genuine and my son really likes them. I feel very comfortable leaving him there. Ms. Freida, in particular, is the best! She treats my son as if he were her own child. Pros: genuinely caring, attentive caretakers Cons: a little hard to get in and out of the building more

We like the staff and care provided to our child. Our child loves going as well. The staff genuinely care for the children and the children are well provided for. more
