I'm a Taekwondo newbie -- my husband and I started at this school six weeks ago. While we haven't been to other martial arts schools, it's easy to recognize a superb business when you find one! We have been blown away by every aspect of this business -- pleasant, well-maintained facility, good organization, a friendly yet mutually respectful atmosphere, and great instruction!\r

Master Gavula is clearly an excellent martial artist, but is also a gifted teacher (expertise in a particular discipline does not always include teaching skill). Class activity is well-planned for the different belt levels present. I always find myself in the position of having to reach just a little past my comfort level each time, and gaining confidence as a result of it. I'm a 44 year old beginner, and am the lowest belt level (yellow stripe) in an adult class usually populated by younger and fitter blue belts and green belts and occasionallly a black belt (instructor Audrey Gavula). I could imagine schools where that situation could be intimidating or unfriendly -- here it is inspiring and encouraging!\r

When we were in white belt class with children, I was impressed with the way the instructors handled the kids -- always guiding them toward the appropriate discipline but staying positive and upbeat without being wimpy. All the kids I observed stayed engaged and interested throughout class -- a big plus. \r

We love this school, and highly recommend it. Check it out!
Pros: great instruction, nice facility, diverse schedule of classes for adults, juniors and families
Cons: a little pricey (but worth it)
