Gross out 11/27/2009

one morning stopped in for some bagels I watched one of the cooks go to the bathroom come out adjusting his privates hands down pants and all. Go directly to the kitchen and grab some bagels without washing his hands. The gentleman that was in front of me waiting for his order was so disgusted that he demanded his money back. I left without ordering. Needless to say it turns my stomach thinking about this and will never step foot again in there. Cons: get more than you paid for more

Best Breakfast in Hampton Roads 12/22/2008

There simply isn't a better breakfast experience in Hampton Roads. I've been eating there every morning for fifteen years. That's how good it is. The bagels are New York style ""water"" bagels....simply the best you can find. Nobody's bagels compare to Yorgo's bagels. In addition to great bagels, the staff is friendly and the coffee is good. more

Most friendly, home made, delicious restaurant ever! They have the most wonderful vegan options for food and desert! Staff is so nice, owner is nice and cares about everyone! I highly recommend this place. Pros: Staff, vegan deserts, vegan meals! more

Almost like New York! I remember my father taking me to the bakery to pick up bagels, onion rolls, and pumpernickle bread. These bagels really satidfy that nostalgia! more

Great Bagels! 10/19/2006

Myself and wife have been going to Yorgo's every morning for ten years. Has a wide assortment of bagels and cream cheese flavorings along with just about anything you want to put on a bagel for a sandwich. Owner and staff are always super nice and take great care of their customers. Always a pleasant experience. Often there is a line but it goes fast - especially since they have just installed a second cash register. Pros: Great food and nice people. more

Excellent Bageldashery 3/20/2006

I don't know where the previous reviewer was eating, but it wasn't any Yorgos I know. I've been a customer of theirs for years, eating at both the Colonial and Selden Arcade locations and I've never had a complaint. The bagels are always fresh- except of course for the great bargin of the Day Old Dozen, which are still pretty good- and the staff has always been helpful. They are now wired for wi-fi... in fact, I'm sitting at their Colonial Ave. location as I type this- today's meal: everything bagel with bacon, egg and swiss cheese! Pros: Food, Staff Cons: NOTHING! more
