On Friday, 9/2/11 their dog grooming truck was parked in front of the Burger King by Whole Foods in Woodland Hills (5450 Canoga Ave. Woodland Hills, CA 91367). I saw a dog inside the truck that had it's windows slightly down in 95 degree heat outside. The poor dog was panting and jumping at the window as if to try and get out. I went inside Burger King and asked who was Yolanda with the dog grooming truck outside with a dog locked inside was? She and a young man were eating their lunch and said that they'd be out in about 5 or 10 minutes. I told both of them that they should be aware that their dog could die in the extreme temperatures inside of their truck and that its panting and now hiding under the dashboard. She said, ""Yes, it goes under the dash to keep cool"". I said, ""That's exactly why you should go and get your dog out of your truck"". She said for me to mind my own business. I said I was calling the police. I went to the parking lot and made calls to the police and was transferred to different departments. They both came out of the restaurant about 5 minutes later. It looked to me that other patrons went to the Burger King management to complain and they were asked to leave. The dog was locked inside that truck for at least 20 minutes. I looked on the internet and read that on a 90 degree day interior temperatures inside of a car can soar to 150-160 in less than 10 minutes. These people are UNCARING, IRRESPONSIBLE and RUDE. This business should NOT be patronized as they don't even care about their own dog. Please spread the word about NOT patronizing this business as it is run by thoughtless individuals who abuse their OWN animals.
