Yokoso Japanese Steak House

I love this restaurant! I've been going here since I was little and each time I go I love it even more. The salad dressing is my absolute favorite and so are the sauces for the rice. I recommend the Seafood Lover's or the sushi and sashimi meal. The service is good and so is the entertainment. If you like Asian food, you will not be disappointed! more

Incredible food! Standard setup for a Japanese steakhouse, where they sit 6-8 people around a grill and the chef puts a great show flipping knives and tossing ingredients. Great service from everyone. more

Out of all the Japanese restaurants out here, this is by far the best on out here. You get your moneys worth and the staff are very nice. I recommend Yokoso to anyone that I know. It will also never get old going there to eat. The kids love the show that chefs puts on. The waitress are nice and they love kids. more

Love this restaurant! The food is amazingly good and fresh. The sushi rolls are yummy and have creative presentation. I had the lobster dinner last time and the lobster tails were fresh and I ate it within a short period. The servers were very friendly and on top of everything. Everyone should try this place if they're in the area! more

I absolutely love Yokoso's! The food and atmosphere is great. I went with my 12 year old for her birthday and they sang to her, bring out sparklers and banged on this big drum. It was a very nice experience. :-) more

I have been to the majority of hibachi and sushi restaurants around the Pittsburgh area, but Yokoso is definitely my favorite. The sushi is always extremely fresh and tasty. I have tried a variety of rolls and my favorites are definitely the spicy mafia roll and the pink lady. The Yokoso roll and spicy tuna rolls are also delicious. The hibachi food is very high quality and melts in your mouth. I would highly recommend the filet and shrimp, but you can't really go wrong with whatever you order. Yokoso is a great place for families, friends, or even by yourself. The atmosphere is friendly, clean, and fun. Highly recommend this restaurant! more

Yokoso is by far the best Japanese steak house in the city, and Ive been to all of them. All chefs are entertaining, as well as excellent cooks. It is perfect for children, the chefs will make any kid laugh, and any child will enjoy. more

I have been going to Yokoso for years going back because its so good! They have not cut back on their service and offerings like many other Japanese steak house and their chefs are the best! This is a great place to have a good time to meet people or to take on a date. Make sure you have reservations. more

The show that the chef's give you is wonderful. I've told others about Yokoso and they loved it so much that they are now regulars. My kids think it's a great place because it's fun and the food is great. However, there is a wait so if you don't want to wait in line make a sure to call in a reservation. more

This was my very first time visiting the restaurant. It was recommended by my girlfriend, and we went for our sixth month anniversary on May 9. Overall the experience was amazing. The cook was interesting and funny. He was professional. I did not have to wait long and the service was just great, cook food and flip spatulas and all was extreme. I am considering creating an event to bring some employees for dinner. more

This was my first visit to a Japanese restaurant. My family had visited other Japanese steakhouses before and said the food here was much better than others they had eaten at. We were promptle seated. Chef was awesome!!! He entertained us throughout the dinner. The food was great and I would highly recommend this restaurant to family and friends. more

Yokoso is something everyone should experience. The skill of the chefs is outstanding as you are watching them prepare your meal in front of you. The hibachi on the other hand was downright mouth watering. Our chef's name was Chin and she was soo friendly and sweet. I ordered the filet and shrimp and everything again was amazing. The filet was exactly how I like it to the point. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the vegetables and rice were cooking to perfection as well. more

i really do not understand the reviews citysearch was giving this place? :/ this place is amazing! i love it! ill give you a few reasons why: 1. as opposed to other hibachi style restaurants around... if you go in with a party of two they will seat you at a table right away if it isn't busy. other places ive been to will make u wait for a while even if the restaurant is empty just to fill the table up. weak. 2. the sushi here is to die for. no seriously... it's that good. if you don't believe me, go and try for yourself. the salmon and the yellowtail. wow... those are my favorite and they are so so so fresh. if anyone doesn't agree that the sushi isn't good here... i'll personally do 1000 pushups for u. haha. 3. the amount of food you get here is ridic. i have never finished a meal here.. and always have more to take home for the next day. plus all the chefs are really cool and very personable. the hibachi tables are very nice and very open in the dining area. i don't feel like i'm crammed with table all around me. 4. ive seen other reviews say that the wait staff is bad, managers are bad... but i have never had an experience that would say that. it would be the opposite actually. the one guy manager (forgot his name) made sure everything was ok while dining there. basically that's about it. i wrote too much. give this a try! it's the best place to eat in the waterfront. ps... make sure u make reservations on weekends. wait is long if u dont have one. more

love the food and chefs here.... i eat here a couple times a month. Today was the same as always till i asked him how the tip out worked. Most places split the tip between chef and server. My chef informed me that thats how they do it here but the chefs never see that money. I was outraged and I believe this is unfair. The chefs are then only reason we come down there. and they get shafted. more
