yokes has such a low rating on conventional rating sites like facebook, yelp etc. that they invented a new review site "judysbook". this site has no bone fides, no accountability. in fact mead yokes has 2 of the worst cashiers i've ever experienced in 68 years. condescending, rude, arrogant are just a few appropriate and accurate descriptions. the "do-nothing" whimp of a manager does nothing to correct their bad behavior. in short, yokes mead makes me feel bad about myself whenever i am forced by logistics to shop there. more

Well, my kids and I arrived at Yokes on Market Street at 7:35 this morning to participate in a commercial shoot that my daughter was in! This store is HUGE. They have a credit union, deli, coffee shop, pharmacy and a floral shop...plus all the groceries you could ever need. The staff was so friendly and helpful, lots of smiles and they even stopped to talk to myself and the kids. The bathroom was spotless and smelled very nice and there was a bouquet of flowers on the back of the sink. I ended up getting a coffee and the coffee shop and it was great, $2.50 for a mondo carmel machiotto and the lasy who helped me, Nicole, was so nice and sweet! She even gave my kids a coloring sheet and once they finished coloring it they got a free ice cream cone! While we were waiting and on breaks, we walked around the store and I never saw one single mess or item out of place. Very clean and organized store. I thought the little street signs were cute, they showed which direction each department was and how many steps to get there: EXAMPLE : Seafood 76 steps! more
