I brought my daughter here on a last minute kind of thing, and I guess the saying is true ""you get what you pay for"". Rude, Rude, Rude is the best way to describe it. Toys were old, play equipment dirty...Not the best choice. more

This Place needs Help! 4/20/2010

I see others are not happy with this place either...I did not feel that it was clean at all, or very friendly teachers (or whatever they consider themselves)...I will not be bringing my child back here, nor will I recommend to anyone! Definitely NOT a place to bring your Kids!!!!!!!! Pros: Not a thing!!!! Cons: Everything!! Teachers, not clean, mean kids!! more

NOT RECOMMENDED!! 2/27/2009

Excellent Day Care! 8/1/2007

The Gladstone YMCA Child Care Center has been a wonderful addition for our family. We have been with them for 3 1/2 years when our first daughter started there at 3 months. I had another daughter 8 months ago and she also started school at Gladstone YMCA when she was 3 months. I also must say that the same teachers are caring for my 2nd child that cared for my 1st and that speaks volumes to me about the center and how the employees are treated. more

mother appreciated!!!!!!! KID LOVED!!!!!! 7/31/2007

Being a single mon of 2 young children it is hard to leave your children with someone let alone in a facility. When I came across the Gladstone YMCA immediatly when i walked in it was a great ""homey"" type of feeling. The staff quickly greeted me and got down to my children's level. Rite then I knew that I had ""THE"" place. My son has been in the center now for 3 years and my daughter almost a year. Both started at 6weeks. And let me tell you my family couldn't be happier, my children have flourished in love, happiness, and knowledge. They also have a great social circle of friends-which to them and me couldn't be more important. It is such a great feeling when you drop your child or children off with no tears and pick them up with huge smiles and excitement of what happened in their day. Pros: FRIENDLINESS more

Never Again!!! 4/25/2007

My experience was horrible...The Daycare provider looked like she had been on ""something"", and up for 2 days straight...She was on the phone for about 5 minutes before she decided to help me...and then when she did, she looked like she was in another world!! I guess I shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but I got an awful feeling being there...At this point though, I had no other babysitter...The facility looked fairly clean, but didn't smell very well...I had to pry my son off of my leg to get him to stay, which I never have to do when other kids are around...When the teacher asked him if he wanted to go play he started screaming and crying...She kind of scared me too!! I don't think the teacher/babysitter had any kind of experience what so ever with children...A warning to all of you parents...I wouldn't suggest taking your kids there...I certainly will not ever again!! more
