I have two very lovable dogs who unfortunately do not behave well waiting in the vet's office with other dogs coming and going. Taking them to the vet was always indescribably stressful for me until I came to Southern Veterinary Clinic. They allow me to bring them in individually which prevents them (and me) from getting unnecessarily worked up. This is the third and favorite vet we have had (the other two made me sit in the waiting room for a long time with both dogs). The staff have been wonderful to work with us for the past three years, and we will never switch to another vet. more

Dr. Abernathy assisted our family in saying good-bye to our beloved Boxer, Gabby today...what a humanitarian. She has provided loving care for her for many years, treated and cured her from Cancer 3 years ago, diagnosed her renal failure and gave sound and caring advice about our options. She never pushed her opinions on us and gave us all the information we needed to make informed decisions. I've spoken with her late into the evening as she returned calls about Gabby's condition. This is so clearly a calling for her---not a job. She came to my vehicle today and explained what I may expect during the euthanasia and then very tenderly helped our girl drift off into the first peaceful sleep she's enjoyed for many days. She hugged me and offered her sympathy, saying that she's also walked in my shoes. The entire staff made today's visit endurable. Dr. Abernathy was great. She as well as the techs were all really nice. The only thing that I didn't like was that they took my dog away to do some things such as take blood, weight, and clip his nails. Other than that I was very impressed and will definitely continue to go there. more

The last time i took my animal to this clinic was about 4 years ago. the staff was very friendly but something was lacking i have since changed veterinarians. I know many people who love going there but the place was just not for me. I would consider trying it out for yourself to see how you like it. more

Southern Veterinary Center is the only place I take my cat & dog. I wouldn't trust any other place for my babies. Thay take wonderful care of them, and will always try to fit you in if you need to make an emergency visit. I highly recommend! more

This place knows how to treat animals and the "parents" they understand that your animal is just like your child and that you care how they are treated. I have taking fido there for years! Great place! more

This is a great place to take your loved animal. I have been taking my dog there for a coupld of years now and they service is great. These people truely care about the animals and there feelings. I love to take my dog rudy there for his shots, though he knows that they are uncomfortable, he sticks it out so that he can get a bone afterwards. more

Southern Veterinary Center has been my vet of choice for about four years now. My two cats & dog all go there and receive excellent care. The staff is very friendly, and usually know me by name when I go it there. They are the best! PROS: friendly, knowledgeable CONS: none more
